The reliability of compressed air filtration is paramount to the ongoing fight against problems caused through contamination entering the air system. The CompAir filter range has been constantly innovated and has become a leading technology, providing the exact balance between air quality, energy efficiency and low lifetime costs.

To meet the various requirements, CompAir filters are available in three different grades:

Type B: General Purpose Protection

  • Particle removal is down to 1 micron, including water and oil aerosols.
  • Maximum remaining oil aerosol content is 0.6 mg / m3 at 21 °C (0.5 PPM(w) at 70 °F)

Type C: High Efficiency Oil Removal Filtration & High Efficiency Dust Filtration

  • Particle removal down to 0.01 micron, including water and oil aerosols.
  • Maximum remaining oil aerosol content is 0.01 mg / m3 at 21 °C (0.01 PPM(w) at 70 °F)

Type D: Oil Vapour & Odour Removal

  • Maximum remaining oil aerosol content is 0.003 mg / m3 at 21 °C (0.003 PPM(w) at 70 °F)
  • Maximum remaining oil aerosol content is 0.6 mg / m3 at 21 °C (0.5 ppm(w) at 70 °F)

X-Series of water separators

  • The X-Series of water separators provide bulk condensed water and liquid oil removal and are used to protect coalescing filters against bulk liquid contamination.
  • Flow rate at 25 °C, 7 bar: 0.6 – 432 m3/min (21-14885 CFM)

CF-Series of cast filters

  • The CF-Series of filters efficiently removes water and oil aerosols, atmospheric dirt and solid particles, rust, pipescale and micro-organisms.
  • Flow rate at 25 °C, 7 bar: 0.6 – 60 m3/min (21-2119 CFM)

CF-Series of flanged filters

  • For larger flowrate or higher pressure applications the flanged filters are available in the standard five filtration grades.
  • Flow rate at 25 °C, 7 bar: 26 – 469 m3/min (911-16528 CFM)

CFT Modular Filter Range / CompAir OVR Filters

Maximum remaining oil content of 0.003 mg/m3 is cleaner than Class 1 therefore CFT Delivers Class 0 air quality for total oil when used with CF grade filters

Vacuum and pressure manufacturer, Gardner Denver, has launched the CFT range, a compact modular filter designed to ensure oil-free air for sensitive production environments.

An essential component of the compressed air system, the CFT oil vapour removal filter is designed to reduce the amount of oil vapour in processed air down to virtually zero.

It can be installed in a compressor room for plant-scale protection, or at point of use to protect critical applications and is compatible with a wide range of oil-lubricated compressed air systems.

The filter removes virtually 100% of vaporized oil from the compressed air system. This makes it ideal for use in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors, where the risk of contamination can have serious consequences for product quality and productivity.

Keith Atkinson, Global Product Manager for Downstream Equipment at Gardner Denver, explains: “Featuring a 12-month guarantee, the CFT range has been tested rigorously in accordance with the ISO8573-1 air quality standard and has had its performance validated by Lloyd’s Register.

“This ensures that, when it is used in conjunction with water separators, coalescing filters and dryers, the air it produces is ‘technically oil-free’, with a maximum oil content of less than 0.003 mg/m3.”

Its compact, activated carbon cartridges use a unique filling technique to maximize the packing density of the adsorbent bed, and an innovative design ensures that 100% of the activated carbon bed is utilized during operation, guaranteeing a high level of performance at a lower cost.

The use of cartridges also eliminates the heavy attrition, dusting and blocked particulate filters associated with traditional carbon tower designs.
